USB to serial port.

please can any one help me, on how to use USB to serial port connection ,i mean how to arrange the cable to down load software from laptop to receiver.thanks

What you need is a USB to Serial Converter (can be found in most computer shops or online for around 15-20 Euro).
Than you can connect the serial cable to this converter.
I do the same with my laptop and it works fine.

I have tried what you said but always get message like this: Get client version protocol, data time run out.
Pls camn anybody help

I bought also USB-Serial port, and most of them came with the male connector, while I need the female one, and no one selling the female to female adapter for serial port :(

please visit any computer shop for the female they are available. i also have one,the only thing with mine is the USB converter is not working.
