according to the main VS coder in the U.S, nag 3 card has been dumped, and their coders will be releasing a "major breakthrough" shortly. This was on their main VS site yesterday. Just thought i'd pass this info. along, for what it's worth.
According to news articles circulating on the web, the main VS coder in the US recently got busted. It's rumored that he had dumped N3. Who knows?

all the stuff about "The Broken" is rumor, never proven to this point. Supposed court documents look false etc. This statement was released by Cyphris, who is now and has been for a long time the "official" spokesman for VS.

The only thing true is the dumping of the rom. This however is the easy part.
Just take a logger (scsi is best) and put in your card and log all the info.
Most loggers are too slow to get the whole of the data stream however scsi should be able to handle N3 and Maybe even ND$,
However now you have your log files the hard part comes in decoding them.
The fastest however most expensive way is to strip back the encryption via a Focused Ion-Beam Workstation and look for logic gates, and there are only a few people I know of who have the equipment and knowledge to do that, and none of them want the hassle.
My advice is to just sit back and wait.
It will be done but not just yet.
Personally my money is on the DMM guys.
Selling a box for £1000 and having a VIP forum?. (they have the money and the dev community behind them )

If you've dumped it, why would you need to log the stream? If you know what you're doing a high powered microscope w/video and some easily available chemicals is all thats needed. I'm sure by now everyone who's interested has seen the video.
The last person I'd beleive is the one that came on an open forum claiming he did.

Read my post again and you'll see I was just stating that to have a dump (which most have brought rather than gaining themselves) Or to have a full suite of log files means nothing.
Taking the data you have then gained and working out the correct commands is the hard part. That was the point of my post.
Also I know Chris, so no need to watch any video.
Infact in my opinion the video has done nothing but caused heat and hassle where its not needed. But that's for Chris and Karston to sort out for themselves.
But as you say what do I know I'm just a guy shooting the breeze on the net.
Maybe the Hackers hacked it long time and contacted nagravision about there poor security on there n3 and are now working for nagra to secure the hole
Or they are waiting to see if there are any other hackers as good as them
