Sky Italia pulls ‘Shooting Silvio’

On April 17 we wrote about ‘Sky Italia badly upsets Berlusconi’ and how the Italian prime minister was reportedly furious with Sky Italia over the screening of a movie. Sky Italia has now pulled further screenings of the controversial movie.

‘Shooting Silvio’, which Sky Italia screened last Monday, tells the story of a disaffected – but rich - youth who imagines himself kidnapping and killing Berlusconi. ‘Shooting Silvio’ was written and directed by Bernardo Carboni.

Sky Italia initially said it stood by its decision to screen the movie, but has now decided to pull the two remaining scheduled screenings, planned for this evening (April 20) and April 25.
