Countdown to ANGA Cable

ANGA Cable, Europe’s leading Trade Fair forCable, Broadband and Satellite, will open with 380 exhibitors from 33 countries and a high-level Television Summit on May 26, 2009. The Broadband Summit will focus on “Digitale Dividende”, LTE and Wimax.

Highlight of the English congress programme is the international Broadband Summit. Under the headline “Cable versus Wireless: Next Generation Competitors?” CEOs and CTOs from five countries will discuss the effects of new wireless networks (such as LTE and Wimax) on the broadband competition
in Europe.

Another highlight and the kick-off event of the 3-day congress is the high-level Strategy Summit with the top representatives of German network operators and content providers. With Thomas Braun (President ANGA
Association of German Cable Operators) as the host of the event and Dr. Adrian von Hammerstein (CEO Kabel Deutschland), Parm Sandhu (CEO Unitymedia), Markus Schmid (CEO Tele Columbus), Harald Rösch (CEO Kabel
Baden-Württemberg), Werner Hanf (CEO NetCologne), Ferdinand Kayser (President and CEO SES Astra), Dr. Marcus Englert (Board Member ProSieben Sat.1) and Pro f Dr Carl-Eugen Eberle (General Counsel ZDF), there will be a first-class panel discussion on the future of broadband and Triple Play in Germany.

Main topics of the overall 20 trade panels are the analogue switch off, digital platforms and the Triple Play strategies of cable and fibre operators. Speakers of the congress are high-level representatives from UPC
Austria, Canal Digital Norway, Numericable France, ARD, Deutsche Telekom, Eutelsat, EWE, MABB, Versatel, HanseNet, RTL, Zattoo and MTV among others.

A three-day pass for the exhibition costs 20.- Euros (incl. VAT). For the accompanying congress the three-day ticket costs 150.- Euros (plus VAT). The favourably priced technology ticket - 75.- Euros (plus VAT) - is valid for attending the technology panels and visiting the exhibition.
