Problem finding satellites with my new dish

Hello everyone.I just bought a new 2 m dish.I live in Bulgaria and I want to watch satellites far east..my receiver is Echosmart 771 .So I installed the dish and the LNB ,(which is universal) and attached a sat finder to search for signal easily...here comes the weird part-when the sat finder tells me that there's a strong signal the receiver shows no signal at all..even when I find satellite I have signal on 1 or 2 transponders,the rest are on 0%..why is that ??Please if somebody had this problem or knows what's causing it let me know !!! What sats are you trying to get? How far east are we talking? Are you using a motor or it's fixed? If you have a motor, you need to start at the top of the arc, directly south from you Eurobird 1/Astra 2 @ 28.5 E (I'm guessing, I'm in Romania and I use this to start with). If you lock onto that, you should pick up the others fairly easy. If it's a fixed installation, you need to check that you're inside the footprint for that sat first, the double check your measurements on the dish.

You have found the wrong satellite.....that is why you get a signal with the sat meter but no tranponders with the receiver.....
