Please can anybody teel me how do I upgrade my Fortecstar 6000 FCMI

for this fortec you can upgrade only module inside because don`t have any emu soft for this one

Vas dans "menu"
puis dans "code" tape mot de passe "1668"
puis verifie si tu est "allumé" si tu est "éteint" clic à droite ou à gauche et fait mot de passe "0000"
puis descends à viacess 2
Et là si tu as le Provider TPS 007C00
tu rentres les clés sur deux ligne par nombre de deux chiffres ou lettres
pour rentrer les lettre c'est les 4 touches de couleur de ta télécommande.
Quand tu as fini tu clic sur "OK"
et tu fais Exite pour revenir à l'écran TV

Just got a New Sat Reciever to find if it is better than my present system ... the TPS is a now Mess :( so many keys, manualy entering is another agony.

My New Reciever is Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra Receiver. and It needs to be patched.. I believe.

1) Boot Loader: 6.0
2) Software Version: Fortec Star-2.73
3) Software Date 25 April 2005

I have a Streight Cable ready

Now the Questions
1) I have downloaded the things
2) and tried uploading, but it is not uploading.

a) Do i need to get things ready and upload as soon as i start the reciever i.e. see the '-' on the reciever?
b) Do i need to upgrade the boot?
c) why gTools is not working ? All I need to do is update the TP's, Power Scan cannot 'catch' all the TP's listed on htt*://www.flysat.com

your help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Blacklist STB updater 1.4 with a straight trought cable .
Flash should start regardless of what receiver wants.

Can anyone who has patched a Fortec 5000 v2 receiver please reply?
I cannot update the firmware on my new 5000 v2 to the al7bar version. I have used the same PC and cable to update to the official Fortec firmware succesfully. When I try the al7bar firmware the 5000 v2 app returns a "This firmware is not fit for your receiver..." error.
My units serial number is FO31503053578 and it uses the grey LG remote. I used the 5000v2_315s_cpa_x_xl_060323.bin which I beleive is the correct version and then both the other bin files which both returned the same error.
I have also made a factory default reset.
Has anyone had this issue, does anyone know what I should do?
