Hi All,
Im a new member here.
Im from South-east Asian country Pakistan.
Im using Fortec Star Platinum Reciever.The Fortec Star Platinum satellite receiver comes with dual CAM Common Interface slots and provides digital satellite reception with a channel memory capacity of 4,800 channelsand store up to 64 Satellites.
This receiver is fully MPEG2/DVB compliant, supports multi-languages, and has an Electronic Program Guide for On-screen channel information.
It also has Code Menu Editing. Embedded With Viaccess 1 & 2, Seca 1 & 2.
It automatically upgrades itself, i mean its software.
I think its the best Fortec Star Reciever ever built.
Oh Forgot to tell you one thing im not using any CAMs.
It costed me like ummmmm 5400 Rupees( $105 ).

Please i need comments about this reciever Good or Bad.
Plus also if theres any newer or better kind of recievers than this one.

I thought I would try and make you drool over these beauties.
To my mind the "Power Scan" function is an absolute must.
You can pick up any changes in TPs and channels long before they are published. Even while they are just testing.
Fortec are one of the few STBs to have this, and then only in two models.(Ultra in their model name). Plenty of info and backup for them. You'll find them here:
