Octagon problems

I'm new here and i'd like to ask following: Can anyone help me with my problems with my Octagon SF908 Box? I tried to uppdate my box with a new EMU but after shutting the box down it didn't open up at all. The reciever tries to boot and then it says "run protect".

I have a null modem rs232 cable with USB on the another end and i cant go inside the box to fix the problem

sorry for my bad english i have the octa 918 but i think the same when you push behind the box for boot at the same time you must push arrow-up or arrow-down in front panel not remember at this moment and late you see boot-0020 at this moment your box can be upgrade with null-modem.

get the octagonsofttool tool and do this:


Connect the HD to your PC with nulmodem cable
Open the Program and select rigth com port 1 to 4
Pres and hold the channel DOWN button on the fron of box
Turn the box ON from back, when is on click Connect on Programmer you dowloaded if port right will connect if connect ok>
Click SW-Down and Bood mode Status> click Ok then will ask you files show the lathes emu and move your finger from button you holding.. it will start load files.

Maybe a stupid question but i'm new to these thinks, so i'd like to ask:

When someone sends camcodes as text files, how can i get them to my reciever. It might sound stupid but i do not have a clue about how to do it.

Any advices

insert the file softcam.kdb via usb stick

That thing i know already. But the question is about the files those are in text mode. How can i fix them to key file, so the reciever can read it from the usb stick. I need advice to that. Anyone
