no, this is a very secure system which uses dedicated receiver/decoder and it is over-the-air addressable system much like the old bsb,dmac system. you can see a powervu receiver pop up on ebay but i wouldnt bother!!.

Who knows how secure this system really is. it could be the lest secure system after BISS, or one of the most secure systems.

Facts are PowerVU and it's variants are used in very limited numbers mostly for professional feeds. so few people have ever seen a PowerVu receiver let alone opened one up.

It not like most other systems where every man and his dog who subscribes has a Smartcard. PowerVu is defiantly a case of increased security through obscurity.
