Measat-3a up and running

The Measat-3a satellite, which launched on June 22, has now entered full commercial service.
Measat’s fleet now comprises of four satellites across three orbital locations.
“Measat-3a has been designed to enable our continued support of the development of Malaysia’s communications and broadcasting industries, while allowing the Company to build its international presence,” said Paul Brown-Kenyon, Chief Operating Officer, Measat. “Having secured customers for over half of the satellite’s capacity, we expect the satellite to be accretive to earnings before the end of 2009.”
