Free inks Russian deal

Russian content is to be made more widely available to viewers in France.

Cableman reports that the IPTV platform Free, which has over 4 million subscribers in 18 cities, is to start offering programming from the Russian state broadcaster VGTRK on a VOD basis.

The French cable operator Numericable already distributes VGTRK’s RTR-Planeta and will soon also add the channel Vesti to its offer.
