YouSee doubles digital revenues

Danish cablenet YouSee increased its revenues by DKK 34 million (€4.57m) in the first six months of 2009, representing a rise of 54.8%. It contributed to an overall increase of DKK 138 million that took the TDC-owned operation to DKK 1,720m. EBITDA of DKK 550 represented an increase of 20.6% on the first six months of 2008.

Another major contributor was A+, the 62,000-subscriber broadband and antenna network, purchased in June from Nordica Capital Partners and LD-Invest Equity. The new business contributed DKK 15m.

Telephony customers within the YouSee network rose by 51.2% to 65% in the first half, including 56,000 VoIP customers, 12,000 of which came from A+.

TV subscribers, including A+, increased to 1,195,000 from 1,124,000 12 months previously.
