Oops! Don’t delay the Prime Minister, or else!

The boss of Thailand’s Channel 11 has been fired, says the Bangkok Post. His error was to delay the Prime Minister’s televised chat with the nation by two hours, blaming “technical problems”.
This two-hour ratings-grabbing show, ‘Have confidence in Thailand’ featured the PM (Mr Abhisit Vejjajiva, who has been in post since he was appointed by the king last December). The show is produced by the nation’s Public Relation’s Office.
The offending boss is/was Suriyong Huntasarn who was fired “with immediate effect” and is to be replaced by Rattana Charoensak, director of the Public Relations Office.
Evidently, this is the third time the PM’s gab-fest has been affected by “technical problems”.
