PREDATOR 8700 Pvr

hello
can anybody tell me how can i upgrade(update) my new predator 8700 step by step which i just bought last week ?
what kind of USB to use coz there were no USB when i buy it?
do i need to unzip the file before the upgrade(update)..

HOW TO UPGRADE FIRMWARE INTO PREDATOR

1. PLUG THE USB FLASH MEMORY BACK OF THE RECEIVER THEN SWITCH ON THE RECEIVER.
2.INSIDE THE USB FLASH MEMORY THERE IS FILE ******_SERIT.ABS
3. THEN GO TO TOOLS AND PUT IN UPGRADE BY USB PRESS OK THE REMOTE CONTROL
4. NOW YOU CAN SEE THE UPGRADE FILE:*******_SERIT.ABS AND UPGRADE MODE S/W
5. PRESS THE RED BUTTON OF THE REMOTE CONTROL(RED INDICATE START)
6. YOU CAN SEE ARE YOU SURE TO BURN THE FLASH YES THEN PRESS OK THE REMOTE CONTROL.
7. WAIT UNTIL IT REBOOT ITSELF AND POWER ON.

8. ANTENNA CONNECTION THEN PRESS OK CHANGE CONNECTION TYPE TO DUAL DIFFERENT
9. PRESS REMOTE CONTROL GREEN BUTTON TO SAVE AND EXIT.
10. GO TO SATELLITE LIST PRESS OK THEN SELLECT THE SATELLITE NAME BY PRESSING OK ONE BY ONE.

11. THEN EXIT TO SAVE IT NOW YOU ARE READY TO USE THE DECODER

Predator8700 Service STOPPED.
It will be fixed as soon as possible.We hope this week. No Backup Service is running at the moment.

Back on Thursday with new version software and it was expected to be released today but it was emphasized its release tomorrow, God willing .
The team confirmed that the device is excellent, but a lot of packages has been loaded which led to lock the device to go down

here the new firmware which is a temporrary solution. i get this email from the smartcardshop.


Dear All


I would regret for the delay first and secondly thank you for your patience.
Please note that the facility S/W is a temporary solution and will make the last S/W few days only.
You need to use Eurobird 9A at 9.0E but in some areas Hotbird will do so please test first Hotbird if not doing well do use the E9A.
1. Load the new S/W in flash stick after unzipping it of course .
2. Insert this stick into the predator (back of the box in PVR slot).
3. Menu
4. Tools.
5. Upgrade by USB.
6. Choice the File you did write into the flash stick.
7. Press Red (BookMark).
8. When upgrading finish please do factory setting.
9. System setup.
10. Language settings.
11. Press Red (BookMark) and then enter 2520.
12. Go Emulation and choice Sat.
13. Press green (Save & Exit).


Your predator is healthy again.

I will suggest we should wait for original software from official website. the current version of 30/10/09 seems to be freezing even on FTA channels, or threre seems to be a problem with this software.

The Predator8700 team should make a comments on weather update will be available or not, so that people will still have confident on predator8700 even tho i have heard in another forum predator8700 have gone on nilesat for ever no more sharing on Nilesat.
