Think I might have ruined my card with a fake. How should a correct ATR look like? If I've ruined it, is there anyway to repair it?
The Cerebro OS ATR should look like this. The last byte may vary depending upon your bios version.

If you have installed a fake application you MAY be able to restore the card by erasing the application using that option in CAS Studio for example.
Alternatively, with WinExplorer you can try this script to erase the application.
My ATR says:
3BEC000040384345524542524F20800C0101
The Bios ver. says 01.01
Slightly different from yours, but I hope it's still OK.
But anyhow.... Stil no PW on my DB7000S with T-rex
toller, i read on another site if you reproggramme the card with a old cerebro file the atr is restored, dont know if it works but its worth a try
Like I said before ALL THESE FILES ARE FAKE at best they simply will not work, and at worst it can kill your Card(s)!!
Who knows what if anything the Future holds for the Cerebro. But, unless you came to the Party really late... I think most People should know what a proper Cerebro Disto looks like.
Team Cerebro do not just release a 384CZ (or since I first reported that fact!) a 384DZ File they release everything from 383 to 384 w/all Cs', Ds' and or Zs'.
It's goin round that there might be updates aound the First, of August. That could be BS I don't know. But untill myself or another Mod give such Files the OK I would not recomend anyone to touch this stuff.
As from my experience different Cerebro xx0706 Files habor differnt roten Eastoreggs, At fist I thoght I might have missunderstood the Dreamcrypt reference as beeing a renamed Dreambox_embedded File. NOPE wong answer. the Embeded File is not Dreamcrypt but Conax and it will show a valid ATR aswell. So apperently someone is able to make bogus RSA encrypted Files which could have the potental of killing your Card(s).
If or when Team-Cerebro ever manage to get back to there Workbench and Post new Files We will hear about. This Site and just about every other Site around here. Then prohaps things can get back to normal.
Till then I urge you to wait!
That's what seemd to work for me. I was not sure about it, but according to 007.4 The OS-Sector should be unharmed So you still have a cereboOS, I had bounce the Card in and out of my Dynomite+ Programer a few times till it took hold in CAS Studio 7.4. I have tryed, allthough with little luck it must be said with the Dynomite+ set to Phoenix 3.579 (though CAS Studio) on COM1 w/The Cerebro Loader. I never really ever had a use for to start with, as the Cerebro Loader in CAS Studio does a better (and I feel), safer job at this.Originally Posted by conceruk
But, yes I was able to reflash after several attempts the last reall update to my Cerebro. KDH @ 23.5°e may not be Premiere World but, it is a whole lot better then an Icescraper. Should you hit the wrong maligment "File" and thats what you could well endup with.
