How to insert Fortec keys.

Yes I believe you can. May depend on your model.
This works for me on the 'lifetime' and 'FSCI-5100', possibly others.
But may not work with factory software. ( May need " Al7bar " software.)

Menu;
Channel Edit;
Code;
OK;
Password; " 1668 "
KeyCode Function; OFF.(L or R arrow)
Select Encryption. eg; Irdeto or the one you want to use.
Provider ID (if unknown, try the default 00 00 10)
Key Number;
Key (you should have a panel showing what buttons for A - F)
Enter 8 pairs and if 16, use next Key.
OK to Store;
Exit;
Password; " 1668 "
That should turn ' KeyCode Function ' back on.
Exit;
Exit:
And Bob's your Uncle.

Hi, i hope anybody know somthing about to set up CW keys in a Fortec Star Platinum and on a Fortec Star BETA - And i have trouble with set up BISS key on a BETA, i put them in, but no picture. The few there are from the latest update working fine. Any help?

a friend of mine wanted to know how to put the keys in his fortec star lifetime ultra..and he went to channel edit...but did not see any "code" section der...and i came across dis site...and thought i found the solution..too bad i'm not der wid him to know how the menu looks like...and plus he doesnt know much english also...is there anyway, anybody could help me?....plzz...i need an answer soon...
