Jtag & ST 7109

Hi,

I have a STB with a ST7109 chip. I want to have a go at porting meego linux onto the chip and I am looking for a place to start in terms of the jtagging of the box. I wish to be able to load uboot onto the box. The st toolset is pretty poor and the doco is shit.
Any suggestions as where to start?

Were you ever able to jtag the chip? I have a bricked Koala HD with the same problem.
