Hi there guys,
great info shared here. I am not very good with that stuff although managed to install gemini and cccam.
One silly question - do I need to have an actual card in the slot of the my DM800SE to be able to share with other people?
What I mean is - in order to enter F line in my Config file I should have something to offer, correct?
And then the next question is what is a good card to buy? I see that AlJazeera ship their cards very fast and they do not look expensive - the 10 sport channels are 125 EUR per year. On anothe hand services like Sky UK and Italy are quite expensive.
Your advice please?
Cheers

Any way boboxjordan yes indeed it would be wise to have atleast 1 local card to share, withou local it is very hard to get someone to share his card(s) with you.
And to get a card i sugest to get one in your country where you live in, as above beter have 1 local card then nothing.
some new tips i have found makes the c line biger then they should be but atleast it stops you from receiving old cards that wont work either.

note that the part no is that you do not want to use emu behind you have this starting with { 0:0:1 (means you only have local card from server, and is also a good way to check if some one still have a local cord or not, normaly i have it on 3 ( get everything till hop 3)
everything behind are the pid with old card numbers which you do not want to use anyway as they are not valid anymore, but allows a server to fake a local non working card, whit this you are save.
been testing this setup for a while now and works fine for me, and also found that a server in my list suddenly had no local cards (not calling names here), so have to work this out with the person it self, as his original threat was saying he had local cards and now their gone.
So checking the option no { 0:0:1 and set it to 1 is a good way to check if a servers local card is still there or not, again as default you need to put this on 3, higher then 3 is no use and causes only screen freezes.

Hi all
I have setup linux pc server for cccam. How do I activate or add clients so that my friends can connect to my cccam server. Thank you
Hi Guys,
Is an old treat. But I hope it will be answered.
Since a week we have many freezes off the reshared channels.
our f line looks like:
f: user password 3 1 0 { 0:0:1 }
And we have a server with local cards. In a smargo+ reader. Which we share by wan.
could someone can tell me what is going wrong?
Or what we need to change, to make it work stable again.
It always worked well. Till last week.
Thanks in advance.

Most off my ECM times are around 5 sec.
you might wanna try a sid limit on one or more of the cards you have, some providers limited their max sid to 4, the one i know of is canal + dutch.
I had the same problem when i could not even wach my own card deu to much emm recuests from a remote peer, so i needed to limit the max up hops on the f line and set it to max up 2, and limited the SID LIMIT: /dev/ttyUSB0 4 10.
On my own local card, just try it out or try to find out what card has a limited sid limit on it, forced by your tv provider.
Another thing that might be a problem is, did you add a new server in there and do you experiance problems from that time on, that might also be the cause of your problems, ifso you might want to limit the max up hops behind the f line of this server, and test it out.
And/or one of your remote servers is faking cards with the wel known n line faking trick, this gives you a huge drop on your side and your box gets overloaded with emm requests from one or more servers?
Don't pinpoint me on this , i just give sugestions and tips what to look for ,what you do with it is all up to you.
Good luck finding the cause of it, it might take a while to track it down, i had the same problems years ago, mainly on n card fakers and emm requests overloading my box (payservers), took a while to figure that out.
Happy sharing
