Yes, the card will be in a USB smargo reader/writer. By "updates" I mean the gam file. Is it possible to send the .gam cmds from a Linux command line prompt (using minicom or cu for example)

AFAIK it's not possible cause the gamma loader doesn't send only the visible commands from a gam file, but also additional init strings.

If we were to know those init cmds, would that make it possible? What I am trying to do is to send those cmds in a remote server that is not easily accessible all the time.

I am new to gamma and have a problem. I have written the latest nova file in it using CAS 3+ and put my gamma into a Diablo 3.2, chip facing up. I saw Novacinema 3 for 10 sec., then it went black...have left the card inside the receiver for whole night but still black. I have checked Diablo CAS menu and all encryptions are ON. Any suggestion on what am I doing wrong? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks very much in advance

Try to manage the configuration in the Diablo Menu . Priority:
1cards 2emu
or
It will play while zapping. (if your receiver isn't very nice with Diablo, try switching off and on again).

I have put priority 1 cards 2. emu and is still not working. I saw Nova cinema for 10 sec. the other day and it went completely dark. Can you let me know how other Diablo features should be (Fixed CW, N2...) for it to read the Gamma? Thanks again

I don't Know what reciever do you have . If it has 2 CI slots try the other one. Anyway this answers can be answered in the MODULES SECTION.
